My experience

My foray into family law began in 1997 when I was hired fresh out of law school as a research attorney for the L.A. Superior Court. I was assigned to 6 of the 11 judicial officers in the Family Law Department. I worked up app. 1,000 motions - meaning I read the papers, researched the law and wrote a memorandum to the bench officer, recommending a ruling. This gave me incredible insight into the inner workings of a busy family law court and gave me a host of employment options.

From there, I went to work for Trope and Trope in West Los Angeles, one of the largest family law firms in the U.S. There, we represented many celebrities and other wealthy parties in handling complex family law matters.

I returned to San Diego, CA in May 1999, where I started my own practice. I have been in private practice handling primarily family law cases ever since.
